Your enjoyment begins at The Parkhouse, the ultimate hub of activity, relaxation and connection around Shady Trails. First up, the centerpiece of any great summer: The aquatics! Jump into our junior Olympic-sized pool and spend the day splashing around and practicing your kick turns. When you’re looking to slow down, spend some time in the spa—a great place to laze the day away. If you’re looking to work up a sweat, the tennis courts and tot lot are perfectly designed to keep you and your little ones entertained for hours.
The Retreat also plays host to a pool and spa—not to mention, a fitness center and a half basketball court to bring out your competitive side. Both The Parkhouse and The Retreat offer outdoor spaces and barbecue areas to host picnics or cookouts with your nearest and dearest, plus sundecks and shade arbors for quiet contemplation. For an off-campus adventure, you don’t need to look too far: day trips to famous locales like Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear are incredibly convenient. In less than an hour and a half, you and your family could be hiking, biking, kayaking, fishing or simply relaxing lakeside at either of these dreamy mountain destinations. If you’d like to stay a bit closer to home, the Fontana Park Aquatic Center is just across the street from Shady Trails! Fun waterslides, a lap pool, fitness and Red Cross CPR classes, Dive-In movies and more await adults and kids alike.
Amp up your days with a trip to Raging Waters LA—home to rides that thrill you and chill you all summer long. Season passes are available so you can experience water rides, a wave pool and plenty of lagoons and pools as often as you’d like. Visit nearby Buccaneer Cove at Castle Park in Riverside for interactive aquatic domes, play structures, rentable cabanas and so much more. It’s not tough to stay cool around Shady Trails!
North Fontana and the surrounding area are always abuzz with activity and it’s not difficult to find something that appeals to you. From high-speed go-karting at CalSpeed Karting to immersing yourself in virtual reality games at noobs VR to taking in the nature trail and learning about flora and fauna at the Mary Vagle Nature Center—you’ve got choices.
